Would You Like to Help Us?

Volunteers are an important part of team Howe!
Volunteers do various projects at the library and help us to improve our services to the community. Days and times are usually flexible. Some people volunteer weekly, some volunteer occasionally for special projects and others serve on library committees.

Some examples of current volunteer projects:
Preparing materials for circulation
Putting protective covers on new books
Keeping the new book area in order
Assisting with library programs and exhibits
Delivering books to Etna and Howe Libraries
Home delivery courier
Mending damaged books
Shelf reading to make sure the books on our shelves are neat and in order
Special events and projects

If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail or call Peter Appleton, the volunteer coordinator.  He can be reached at or at 603-640-3273. You may also download, print, and fill out a volunteer application and bring it to the library.
